As a Technical Business Analyst, you will be working for our client, a global financial organization driving complex IT transformation and application modernization initiatives. You will support the migration and modernization of legacy systems, ensuring business rules, data lineage, and domain models are accurately captured and translated for technical implementation. Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders, architects, and development teams, you will analyze, document, and communicate requirements while facilitating workshops, backlog grooming, and alignment sessions. Location: Kraków - hybrid work model (5 days/month in the office)
Rate: B2B: 110 – 140 PLN/h netto+vat
responsibilities :
Acting as the primary liaison between business, architects, and development teams
Reverse-engineering and documenting business rules from legacy code and TSQL
Mapping data lineage and translating source data into target domain models
Defining bounded contexts and supporting domain discovery sessions
Eliciting, prioritizing, and translating business needs into BRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Performing impact analysis to support make vs refactor vs replace decisions
Maintaining traceability in Jira/Azure DevOps from requirements to release
Producing and updating BPMN, sequence/component diagrams, C4/context views, and data flow maps
Validating Definition of Ready/Done and reviewing test scenarios for coverage gaps
Facilitating workshops, demos, and stakeholder alignment meetings
requirements-expected :
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in complex IT projects
Advanced SQL expertise and reverse-engineering skills
Ability to read and reason about .NET code and legacy layers
Strong process and data modeling skills (BPMN, UML, C4)
Experience with domain discovery techniques and DDD practices
Familiarity with API contracts and integration patterns
Experience mapping data lineage and working with metadata/catalog tools
Basic cloud literacy for Azure and understanding operational implications
Understanding of CI/CD concepts and integration into test automation
Observability awareness (metrics, logs, tracing) and specifying monitoring requirements
Fluent in Polish and English
