The goal of our 2024 program is to improve Global Procurement’s data analytics capability and maximise value creation from HSBC’s supply chain data. The program is a success when:
1.Modernising Procurement’s data & analytics platforms: extending our Data Management Platform (Google Cloud) and the associated data products
2.Deliver Next Generation Insights: enabling data-driven decision making through both brand new and improved insights across Global Procurement domains
3.Enable Supplier Mastering & Normalisation: support suppler master data project and method
responsibilities :
Leading the technical and functional analysis capability on the data & analytics programme across ideation, design & development, deployment in an agile working model; with the gravitas / ability to influence a wide range of partners / stakeholders from technology and senior procurement management.
Work with business, data and IT stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into clear functional requirements and technical delivery plans.
Developing data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, cleanse, and standardize data to generate actionable insights and address reporting needs.
Using data mining techniques to extract information from data sets and identify correlations and patterns.
Identify synergies across data requests from business stakeholders and deliver the data pipelines as well as visualisations.
Identify opportunities to maximise data usage, applying modelling and optimization methods to enhance data assets and reporting products.
Work with multiple teams to define conceptual data models and document existing data flows of critical business processes.
Create high-quality documentation, detailing data lineage, transformation rules, data sources and business processes used in delivering analysis.
requirements-expected :
A university degree in Computer Science, Data Analysis or similar education and a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience delivering data products using Agile with clearly demonstrable business outcomes.
Exceptional analytical skills with a strong understanding of the power and value of data with an ability to apply technology solutions to meet business needs and solve problems.
Ability to assess stakeholder needs to improve customer experience, show resilience under pressure and provide best in class solutions.
Delivery-focused, with ability to meet agreed deadlines and delivery high quality output.
Proficient in SQL, ETL framework, Alteryx or similar technology, Python, GCP (Big Query), experienced with at least one of the reporting tool – QlikSense/Tableau/Power BI.
Familiarity with Data Science concepts and subjects and an interest in up-skilling in the future.
Strong communicator, both written and verbal and comfortable working with senior management; ability to articulate data concepts, problem statements and solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
Self-starter demonstrating high energy levels, flexibility, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
