What we achieve together

Smart Customer Solution is a department within Vaillant Group IT developing software platforms that can be composed to an integrated customer journey. Our development teams are formed considering domain-driven design and each delivers its own frontend, backend, and APIs to other apps. Our teams have end-to-end responsibility and work in Scrum. The team member we are searching for has deep technical knowledge and wide experience in software development and would enjoy working closely with the team in pair programming.

• You will be responsible for creating and developing applications using best development practices as well as transforming ideas and designs into application code and working functionalities.
• Managing our platform end-to-end – from strategy to operations and support (including product documentation and deployment processes and CI/CD practices) will be your asset.
• You will design and implement test scenarios for components, evaluate and improve product effectiveness and efficiency to ensure our platforms success.
• Working with frontend developers to serve them the data and functionality for end users is important to you.
• You will communicate with our Platform Owner to set proper priorities and understand current user needs.
• Building our organization, improving yourself, our team, and our platform is your high skill.

What makes us successful together

• University degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field and at least 7 years of relevant experience make you a suitable candidate for this role.
• You can lead and guide software development processes using Java and Spring Boot technologies, and you are an expert in ElasticSearch.
• Additionally, you are a master in setting up build processes with Apache Maven (Gradle experience would be an additional benefit).
• You know Python, and automated CI/CD is your daily routine.
• You deeply understand the need for test automation (Unit, integration, and E2E tests) and are an experienced user of cloud solutions (MS Azure, Terraform) and container solutions (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid Linux skills are familiar to you.
• You are a good team player with leadership skills and are open to sharing your experience with other team members.
• Excellent English communication skills and experience in working with different agile methodologies in software development are required.
