Team Leader – Service Operations
McKinsey & Company seeks a Team Leader – Service Operations to drive client impact through operational excellence and people development in the Service Operations Center of Competence (SO CoC).
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the SO CoC team to address complex client issues and develop proprietary tools and benchmarking databases.
- Manage daily operational workflows and meet utilization targets for the SO CoC Poland team.
- Provide mentorship, participate in evaluations, and create development opportunities for team members.
- Serve as a thought partner to consultants and clients, delivering strategic guidance and identifying growth opportunities.
- Contribute to internal knowledge strategy, practice events, and strategic initiatives.
- Maintain an area of expertise with 30‑35% capacity, supporting clients on critical operational challenges.
Qualifications
- Graduate degree; advanced degree in business, economics, or MBA preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in team management and knowledge management.
- Proven ability to manage teams or deliver complex projects internationally or regionally.
- Strong stakeholder management skills in diverse cultural settings.
- Experience coaching and mentoring diverse team members.
- Track record of developing sustainable tools, solutions, or assets.
- Familiarity with Service Operations and the business implications.
- High initiative and accountability, proactive behavior and responsibility ownership.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, quantitative, and innovative skills.
- Professional conduct, high work standards, maturity in interactions.
- Proficiency in written and verbal English.
