Tax Process Expert

• Build expertise in the area of indirect tax, including tax compliance obligations in selected European Union countries that METRO Group operates in
• Support in analyzing and documenting tax processes
• Analyzing existing tax workflows and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement or automation
• Collaborating with stakeholders to identify business needs related to tax processes with a primary focus on global indirect tax requirements
• Support in implementation, evaluation and testing of tax technology solutions, ensuring compliance with local law obligations
• Support in data exports and mapping
• Analyzing datasets to ensure correct results on indirect tax determination and reporting. Designing (and then applying) data validation rules and ICF controls
• Preparation of indirect tax returns (and other VAT submissions such as EC Listings, SAF-Ts and Intrastat reports) ensuring good quality and timely manner of submission

We are currently looking for a Tax Process Expert to join our new business area – Taxes – in the Global Solution Center (GSC) in Szczecin. The person will be responsible for analyzing and documenting tax processes, supporting implementation of tax technology solutions as well as for on-going tax operations (tax compliance), ensuring timely delivery and alignment with corporate objectives.
