Job Description
- Coordinate direct tax compliance across assigned countries, managing internal data readiness and oversight of external advisors.
- Collect, validate, and reconcile tax data for income tax returns prepared externally.
- Review and approve filings, coordinate payments, and ensure proper documentation.
- Provide advisory input on local and cross-border tax matters, including OECD Pillar 2 readiness.
- Prepare and review US GAAP tax provisions, including current and deferred tax calculations and reconciliations.
- Contribute to tax disclosures for statutory financial statements under local GAAP.
- Ensure alignment with consolidated group reporting requirements through coordination with global tax teams.
- Oversee withholding tax compliance and treaty applications.
- Collaborate with indirect tax specialists and other business functions to ensure complete visibility of tax data.
- Represent the tax function in finance system initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA and other automation tools.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and support implementation of new tax technologies.
- Mentor junior staff and support shared service colleagues in tax-related processes.
- Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Treasury, FP&A, HR, and IT on transactions and new market activities.
The Successful Applicant
- Minimum 7 years of direct tax compliance and advisory experience (in-house, SSC or Big 4).
- Degree in Accounting, Law, Finance, or Tax; advanced tax qualification (e.g. CPA, CTA, Polish Tax Advisor) is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of SAP systems and tax reporting under US GAAP.
- Proven experience managing cross-border tax processes in complex international structures.
- Familiarity with tax automation tools (e.g. Power BI, Alteryx, or other tax tech solutions) is a plus.
- Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English is essential; other European languages are an asset.
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a matrix, multicultural environment.
