Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Provide direction and oversight on all aspects of international tax accounting and tax provision processes, including quarterly and annual reporting (10Q and 10K).
- Develop and deliver US GAAP income tax provision training to affiliate teams, ensuring smooth execution of income tax provisions across regions.
- Manage the coordination of global foreign affiliate income tax compliance processes, focusing on seamless quarterly and annual provision completion.
- Lead research regarding appropriate ASC 740 reporting positions and tax compliance requirements across affiliates.
- Oversee tax-related matters for M&A transactions, ensuring appropriate financial reporting and compliance with regulations.
- Support SOX compliance, providing documentation and deliverables for tax-related processes.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and service providers, ensuring efficient performance.
- Provide support and leadership on cross-functional global and regional tax projects.
- Assist in cash tax payment analysis and related documentation requirements.
- Lead initiatives addressing uncertain tax positions (UTPs) and managing annual return to provision true-ups (RTPs).
Minimum Requirements:
- 10+ years of combined experience in tax accounting, tax compliance, and tax planning, preferably with a mix of Public Accounting and multinational corporate tax roles.
- Extensive experience with US GAAP income tax accounting under ASC 740.
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Strong tax planning and research skills, with the ability to analyze complex tax issues and provide clear recommendations.
- Proven supervisory experience with the ability to lead and collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
- Fluency in English, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Preferences:
- Previous experience managing the tax functions of a multinational corporation in the EMEA region.
- Demonstrated experience in training and developing cross-regional teams in income tax processes and compliance.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to support global and regional cross-functional initiatives.
