Job Overview

TE Connectivitys Tax Teams develop and implement systems to compile information for various federal, state, and local reports. They ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns. They assess tax implications surrounding pending mergers and acquisitions. The Tax Teams recommend ways to minimize corporate tax through use of tax laws and regulations. They may administer international tax laws and regulations and also audit financial records to determine tax liability.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Manager Indirect Tax Processes EMEA with S/4HANA design of Indirect Tax process to align with S/4HANA best practice concepts, ensuring that the process maximizes opportunities for improvements in the Indirect Tax area.
2. Provide valuable support in regional and global SAP projects in Indirect Taxes ensuring timely and accurate delivery of results (i.e. user acceptance testing sign off support).
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, i.e. IT Teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions to implement changes in tax processes and systems.
4. Identify new process improvement needs, design implementation plan and control mechanism to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
5. Act as a source of knowledge of Indirect Tax process improvements and determination of SAP indirect tax logic.

What your background should look like:

1. University degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Economy or related.
2. Strong motivation to develop and understand technical set-up of Indirect Taxes processes with already solid foundation in European VAT.
3. Minimum 3 years’ experience in an international Indirect Tax function with practical SAP-VAT (SAP ECC, S/4HANA, SAP implementations, Tax engines) and VAT end-to-end process across EMEA.
4. Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a diverse, global team.
5. Excellent analytical mindset with very good Excel and SAP knowledge.
6. Excellent English writing and verbal skills.
7. Demonstrated strong communication skills and ability to build and maintain very good relationships with other Teams.
8. Strong organizational and prioritization skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
9. High level of confidence, flexibility, team spirit and integrity.
