Tax Accountant (CIT compliance)

We are looking for a Tax Accountant to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of Corporate Income Tax (CIT) reporting and compliance for companies in the EMEA region. The successful candidate will prepare tax calculations for group tax reporting, support tax audits, and collaborate with the Global Tax Team and external service providers. This role also offers the opportunity to develop skills in VAT and Intrastat.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare tax data and calculations for group tax packages, including current and deferred tax, for quarterly and annual reporting.
- Verify data accuracy in financial systems (AX, HFM, S/4) and perform tax account reconciliations.
- Provide data for annual CIT returns for companies in the EMEA region.
- Work with external service providers on the preparation and review of CIT returns.
- Collaborate closely with the Global Tax team to ensure compliance with group reporting requirements and local tax requirements.
- Monitor CIT deadlines, payments, and ensure timely submissions of tax returns and other filings.
- Support withholding tax reporting, including return preparation, deadlines monitoring, timely payments, and coordination with internal stakeholders and vendors.
- Participate in standardization and automation projects (SOPs, templates) for tax reporting and tax return processes.
- Ensure compliance with group tax requirements and local tax regulations.
- Contribute to projects improving tax processes (e.g., SAF‑T, reporting automation, withholding taxes).
- Support VAT compliance reporting and Intrastat reporting when needed.
Requirements
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Tax.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in tax or finance within an international environment, especially with tax reporting and compliance and processes in GBS structures.
- Understanding of financial statements and ability to use them in tax processes (e.g., account reconciliations, interpretation of tax in financial statements).
- Strong knowledge of CIT and CIT tax reporting processes.
- Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics AX, HFM, S/4) and MS Excel.
- Good command of English and Polish (written and spoken).
- Accuracy, analytical thinking, and proactive problem‑solving approach.
