Job Description:

We are looking for a full-time, permanent Tariffing and Export Control Specialist to join our team. Your responsibilities will include:

• Tariffing and classification of goods based on technical parameters and legal requirements.
• Assessment of export projects considering applicable customs regulations and legislation, including preparation of export documents.
• Review of business partners regarding sanctions list compliance.
• Application for and management of export licences at the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA).
• Documentation, coordination, and control of trade compliance processes within the company.
• Creating technical requirements for the IT system landscape, particularly SAP GTS.
• Optimising and supporting an IT-based classification system for accurate allocation.

Candidate Expectations:

• Qualified vocational training in the commercial/forwarding sector.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in tariffing and export control.
• Good IT skills, particularly with tariff classification software.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills in German; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
• Confident demeanor, pleasant manners, ability to stay calm under pressure, and good prioritisation skills.
