We are seeking a skilled Tableau Administrator to oversee the administration and maintenance of the Tableau Server in a production environment.
The person in this role will ensure the system’s reliability, security, and optimal performance, while collaborating closely with support engineers, users, and stakeholders to enhance the Tableau service and its integration within AWS infrastructure.
responsibilities :
Administer and maintain the Tableau Server, ensuring continuous production reliability, security, and performance.
Collaborate with support engineers to manage live incidents, accurately diagnose issues, and promptly restore service availability.
Support Tableau Server optimisation and deployment activities to improve service efficiency.
Engage directly with users and stakeholders, addressing ad-hoc requests and providing first-line support to optimise workbooks and dashboards.
Manage AWS Windows Server environments, ensuring seamless integration between Tableau and connected AWS services.
Monitor server and application health, automate routine administrative tasks, and troubleshoot system-related issues.
Work with the team to identify, prioritise, and implement initiatives aimed at optimising the Tableau service.
requirements-expected :
Proven experience working with and developing on AWS services such as EC2, IAM roles, VPC, and elastic load balancers.
Confident use of AWS CLI and Cloud Development Kit (CDK) for infrastructure management.
Experience managing Windows and Linux operating systems, with proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Zsh.
Familiarity with Tableau software or a strong desire to develop expertise in Tableau administration and usage.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
Experience managing relationships and communications with stakeholders.
Very good command of English, both written and spoken.
