We are looking for an experienced IP Solution Architect with deep technical expertise in IoT network design to join our international team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing secure, scalable, and future-proof IP network solutions for IoT services — from high-level architecture to low-level implementation details.
Our team provides end-to-end engineering for the Deutsche Telekom Group, covering IP transport, routing, cloud integration, and security for IoT services worldwide. You will be based in Warsaw, with occasional travel to Germany (up to 10%).
This position requires a solid grounding in 3GPP standards, a strong understanding of modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and the ability to design E2E security strategies including segmentation and security protocols such as IPsec, MACsec, TLS/DTLS. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, preparing both High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD), and ensuring solutions meet technical, security, and business requirements.
responsibilities :
Design and plan IP network architectures for IoT services, covering both IPv4 and IPv6 environments
Prepare HLD and LLD documentation for new solutions and network upgrades
Integrate cloud-based components (AWS, Azure, GCP) into the IP network design
Implement network segmentation and secure communication protocols (IPsec, MACsec, TLS/DTLS)
Plan and optimize for multicast and anycast traffic patterns
Lead capacity planning, routing design, and scalability assessments
Contribute to automation initiatives using tools like Ansible and CI/CD pipelines
Develop and deploy network monitoring solutions using SNMPv2/v3, NETCONF, Grafana, and Prometheus
Create or adapt scripts to support automation and operational efficiency (e.g., Python, Bash)
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure designs meet performance, cost, and security requirements
Support RFQ processes with technical input and feasibility analysis

Strong knowledge of 3GPP standards relevant to networking
Experience with cloud integration (AWS, Azure, GCP) in network architectures
Expertise in IP networking fundamentals, including IPv4, IPv6, multicast, and anycast
Solid understanding of security protocols (IPsec, MACsec, TLS, DTLS) and network segmentation strategies
Experience preparing both HLD and LLD documentation
Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, CI/CD) and scripting (Python, Bash, etc.)
Knowledge of network monitoring protocols and tools (SNMPv2/v3, NETCONF, Grafana, Prometheus)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail
Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
Industry certifications (CCNP, JNCIP, AWS/Azure/GCP certifications) are a plus
