Brown Brothers Harriman is seeking a Systems Technology Lead (C++ Lead Developer) to help with the development of Fund Accounting System. BBH’s Fund Accounting System serves as the foundation for Back Office with key set of offerings running on modern and traditional data processing technologies.
responsibilities :
Design and development of application functionality and customizing existing application which meets business requirements with high quality within given deadlines.
Developing maintainable, well-documented application functionality with an eye toward standardization, common components, simplicity, performance, robustness, and other attributes of enterprise-strength solutions.
Contributing technical expertise to defining application requirements in collaboration with business analysts, business representatives and others. You must be able to streamline as well as record requirements, perform gap analysis and offer functionality options where appropriate.
Creating proofs of concept or prototypes if required; contributing to technical design of applications; contributing to database / data model design.
Helping to identify coding patterns and anti-patterns and enforce implementation of the patterns through code reviews.
Quickly resolving issues encountered by business lines in the production environment, maintaining a helpful, "high touch" approach to working with business users, performing root cause analysis, technology evaluation, and performance tuning.
Leverage other teams within BBH to provide action plans and deliver single sign-on, cyber vulnerabilities remediations, product integrations, and end-of-life re-platformings.
requirements-expected :
10+ years of relevant software development hands on experience.
Must be proficient in the C++ under RedHat Linux Enterprise (RHEL7 and RHEL8).
GCC compiler (versions 9 and up).
C++ standard 14 and up.
Python version 3.8+ is a plus (experience using pdf and xlsx modules is a plus).
Build tools: Jam/make.
Scripting experience (shell, Perl).
Experience working with large data sets (e.g., sets retrieved from database).
Experience with Message Streaming using Kafka, IBM MQ, Oracle AQ.
Experience with Spark (PySpark) is a plus.
High proficiency in development practices: unit testing, Continuous Integration, refactoring, clean code, code optimization.
Good understand of Design Patterns and OO Design.
Experience in developing REST web services in Java is a plus.
Proficiency in RDBMS concepts and SQL (Oracle database preferred, versions 19c/23ai).
Knowledge of Spring, Spring MVC and Spring Boot is a plus.
Experience with: Jenkins, SVN, Git.
Understanding application deployment procedures.
Ability to adapt at Scrum/Agile methodologies.
Ability to interpret and troubleshoot applications using logs and debuggers (e.g. GDB).
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Good communicator, keen to collaborate and share knowledge.
English: Advanced.
