About the role

The Systems Engineer VQD role is responsible for developing and enabling new features, supporting the application, and solving business problems by designing the best solutions. You will be working as an integral part of an Agile team, owning end-to-end delivery in the Veeva Quality area.

Key responsibilities

  1. Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of business processes, systems, and objectives: Internal Business capabilities development, industry-wide practices and trends, mainstream systems development methodologies, analysis techniques, and consequent target system guidance.
  2. Partnering with in-house and external Support & Delivery teams throughout the product delivery lifecycle from activation to business-as-usual release management.
  3. Applying the knowledge of the applications and technologies supported, including DevOps Toolset.
  4. Ownership and oversight of resolution and delivering small- to medium-sized product backlog topics/features, and of larger items with supervision.
  5. Provisioning of technical support for incidents and problems, as well as data or configuration changes as required.
  6. Guiding business decisions and priorities when proposing resolution strategies for encountered issues.
  7. Proposing technical solutions that are in line with the Policies, Standards, and Guidelines of the Tech Organization.

Why you?

Qualifications and skills

  1. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in implementation or maintenance as IT technical support, IT systems design and development.
  2. IT background necessary to quickly triage problems and propose solutions.
  3. Experience in the Pharma Quality (preferred), Clinical, Regulatory or Safety spaces.
  4. Proven ability to work in self-organized teams in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
  5. Strong teamwork and stakeholder management skills.
  6. Strong communication skills to work in a complex global application environment.
  7. Excellent command of English.
  8. University degree in Computer Science / Computer Systems / Industrial Engineering / Software Development.

Preferred

  1. Direct experience with Veeva Quality Vault (VQD or QMS).
  2. Knowledge or experience of Quality processes and/or applications.
  3. Ability to learn new concepts, systems, and software independently and quickly.
  4. Knowledge of DevOps processes and tools.
  5. Ability to prioritize competing tasks and ensure smooth response to incoming demands.
