Job Description

We are looking for Systems Engineer (Monitoring Architect) to join Sopra Steria Polska and one of our innovative international squads located in Luxembourg and Poland. You will be responsible for the architecture, design, and evolution of enterprise monitoring solutions. This role focuses on defining monitoring strategies, designing scalable and resilient monitoring architectures, and ensuring observability solutions meet operational, security, and business requirements.

Tech stack on the project:​

  • Icinga/Prometheus/Grafana, Jenkins, Gitlab, Ansible, Terraform, etc.

Must have requirements:​

  • Hands-on knowledge of monitoring and observability tools, such as: Icinga, Prometheus, Grafana.
  • Strong Linux system administration background.
  • Solid experience in system engineering and IT operations.
  • Proven experience designing and operating monitoring solutions.
  • Experience with metrics, alerts, dashboards, and monitoring automation.
  • Automation tools for CI/CD (Jenkins, Gitlab) and configuration (Ansible, Terraform).
  • Experience with using REST API form different products and tools.
  • Understanding of networking, virtualization, and distributed systems.
  • Scripting or automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • EU citizenship.
  • Fluent English: B2/C1.
  • Being open to occasional business trips abroad and visits in our office in Katowice.

Nice to have requirements:

  • Experience with SRE practices (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets).
  • Exposure to cloud and container environments (Kubernetes, cloud monitoring).
  • Experience reducing alert fatigue and improving monitoring quality.
  • Knowledge of Dynatrace Managed monitoring system and Dynatrace certification.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
  • Clearance.
