Are you a hands-on cloud infrastructure expert who thrives in high scale, low latency environments - and enjoys turning automation and operational excellence into real business outcomes?

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to support an enterprise-grade, multi-cloud platform in the payments and financial services domain. This is a role in a globally distributed environment where reliability, security, and availability are critical.

You will work primarily across AWS and GCP , with strong emphasis on Infrastructure as Code , automation, and production operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP

• Build and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform

• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for configuration and automation

• Support Kubernetes -based environments and containerised workloads

• Design and manage networking components: VPCs, subnets, load balancers, connectivity

• Implement security controls, access management, and compliance configurations

• Monitor infrastructure, optimise performance and cost, and improve reliability

• Automate operational tasks using scripting and tooling

• Support incident response and troubleshoot production issues

• Maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks

What we are looking for

• Strong hands-on experience as a Systems Engineer / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

• Commercial experience with AWS and GCP

• Advanced knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practices

• Solid experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management

• Strong Linux and networking fundamentals

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

• Scripting skills in Bash or Python

• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and cloud automation

• Confident English for daily cooperation with international teams

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated environments (especially payments/financial services )

• Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and compliance standards

• Exposure to monitoring and observability tooling

• Understanding of cost optimisation and FinOps practices
