This role focuses on testing and validation of BEV components using HIL and/or eDyne, collaborating with cross-functional teams across multiple locations.

Job Purpose

Serve as the System Test Lead for hybrid and electric vehicle programs, focusing on testing and validation of key components such as inverters, motors, e-transmissions, and other BEV systems using HIL and/or eDyne. Collaborate within diverse, cross-functional product development and testing teams across multiple locations to ensure high-quality system integration and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Verification & Validation (V&V) activities for the project.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans for each release and for production phases.
  • Plan and coordinate the creation and execution of system, software, and hardware tests.
  • Maintain overall V&V status for the project and present updates to all stakeholders.
  • Participate in customer meetings and handle internal and external escalations.
  • Own the reporting of V&V status to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare release test summaries and execute release testing for the project.
  • Ensure readiness for audits related to testing processes within the project.
  • Follow the established defect analysis and tracking procedures.
  • Report software and hardware failures to the development team and ensure they are tracked to closure.
  • Manage the overall budget for test equipment related to the project.

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

  • Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in leading engineering teams.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Systems / Software Test Engineer.
  • Experience in planning activities for both individual tasks and team-level responsibilities.
  • Skilled in presenting to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret functional and design requirements to develop test cases for system, integration, and functional testing in accordance with ASPICE processes.
  • Capable of creating HIL/eDyne test plans and test cases based on functional and design requirements.
  • Preferred tools knowledge includes CANoe, CANape, TraceTronic ECU-Test, NI LabVIEW, NI VeriStand, TestStand, Diagra, ETAS INCA, ControlDesk NG, and Plastic SCM/Bitbucket.
  • Proficient in C and Python, with a basic understanding of MATLAB Simulink/Simscape models.
  • Familiar with test methods and test management tools such as Polarion, DOORS, and JIRA.
  • Knowledge of automotive standards including ASPICE, ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), and Cybersecurity standards is preferred.
  • Domain expertise in electric drives, transmission systems, battery management systems, and/or vehicle dynamics is a strong asset.
  • Strong interpersonal, intercultural, and communication skills in an agile environment. Fluency in English is required.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within the EU or internationally.
