SYSTEM IT ADMINISTRATOR
In this position, you will be part of a team of IT administrators supporting HQ MNC NE in Szczecin and collaborating with other NATO Headquarters. Daily tasks are mainly focused on managing virtual client and server infrastructure and supporting specific NATO programs (after appropriate internal training).
The main duties will be:
- Being responsible for user administration, system maintenance, security monitoring and troubleshooting
- Ensuring smooth operation of the systems and finding solutions to disruptions
- Supporting users as the second level support
- Administration and configuration of Windows Server environments and virtual clients (VMware Horizon), especially for VDI clients support
- Being responsible for maintenance, care and documentation of IT systems, i.e. servers, storage and backup (Veeam) systems
- Installing and maintaining the client software (specific NATO applications – courses will be provided), Microsoft solutions like MS Exchange, MS SharePoint, MS Configuration Manager (MSCM) and hardware
- Analysing and carrying out the procurement/purchase of hardware and software
Candidates should meet the following requirements:
- University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Communications or related discipline or minimum 3 years working experience in aforementioned area
- Very good command of English (written and spoken)
- Being motivated IT specialist in system integration or having comparable training in a similar field with initial professional experience
- Having experience in Windows PC and virtualisation support
- Being familiar with Windows and Linux servers as well as client administration
- Being familiar with virtualization technologies and tools (VMware)
- Having basic knowledge of Microsoft AD, Group Policies and PowerShell
