The Role

Join the Optical Communications team as a Systems Engineer for Optical Fiber & Cables, supporting customers across Poland, Europe, the Middle East & Africa.

You’ll be the technical expert, designing solutions, guiding clients, and shaping next‑gen connectivity projects (FTTH, FTTX, FTTB, Fiber2Home, Data Centres, LAN, Optical Lines).

What You’ll Do

• Act as SME for Optical Fiber & Cable systems
• Design customer solutions + create BOMs
• Verify BOM accuracy and ensure compliance
• Advise customers and support RFQs
• Partner with Account Managers to solve technical challenges
• Produce system designs, datasheets, drawings & technical papers
• Deliver training, workshops and presentations (25% travel)
• Provide pre & post-sales support, installation advice, testing & troubleshooting
• Feed insights to Product Line Management for continuous innovation

What You’ll Bring

• Engineering degree (Telecoms, Electrical, Materials, Process, Computer Science, etc.)
• Strong Optical Fiber/Cable systems engineering experience
• Excellent communication in English
• Technical support background + customer‑centric mindset
• Confident working cross‑functionally
• Solid computer skills (Office 365, Visio, BlueBeam)
• Bonus: RCDD/DCDC/CDCDP certifications, telecom equipment experience

Ideal Background

2–5 years in Telecom, Data Centre or ICT design — ideally with fiber manufacturers or integrators (e.g., CommScope, AFL, Corning, Leoni, Draka, Prysmian).
