System Engineer at GlobalLogic
The System Engineer is responsible for system-level design, integration, verification, and functional safety coordination for SUM and TPMS systems across multiple model years.
This role ensures compliance with ISO 26262, ASPICE SYS/SWE, and process standards, and guarantees that requirements, safety analyses, and test plans are properly implemented and validated.
The System Engineer works closely with Test Architects, Functional Safety Engineers, V&V teams, and Embedded Software Engineers, focusing on system-level interactions and traceability rather than software development.
Requirements
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Automotive Systems, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 5–8+ years of experience in system engineering, system integration, or automotive V&V coordination.
- Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262), ASPICE SYS/SWE, and safety analysis methods (FMEA, HARA, TSR/TSC/FSC).
- Familiarity with system modeling and traceability tools: Electra, CarWeaver, SUMPORTAL(?), SystemWeaver.
- Experience with system-level verification and V&V planning; understanding of test and diagnostic tools (CAN/CANoe, CANalyzer, vTestStudio, VIRA).
- Analytical, structured, collaborative, with excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain system architecture models for SUM/TPMS in tools such as Electra, SystemWeaver, CarWeaver, and SUMPORTAL.
- Ensure functional safety compliance: support S-FMEA, D-FMEA, HARA, TSR, TSC, FSC updates, and ISO 26262 safety case documentation.
- Coordinate system-level verification and validation (V&V) activities with V&V engineers using tools like vTestStudio, CAN/CANoe, CANalyzer, CarWeaver, and VIRA.
- Maintain traceability of requirements, system design, and test cases.
- Support Test Strategy, Test Architecture, and Test Plan updates to ensure safety-critical coverage.
- Identify system-level integration issues and coordinate solutions across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Contribute to process improvements, including review processes, configuration management, and release readiness.
