Job Description

This job requires to be based in/close to Kraków. We currently work in a hybrid model and meet in our office 3 days a week.

We operate in a DevOps philosophy. We take responsibility for the software through its entire lifecycle. We practice continuous integration, delivery, and support of our code through to production and beyond.

Whilst specific responsibilities will be dependent upon the changing needs of the Tesco business, the following provides an overview of the role’s key responsibilities and measures:

  • Be a subject matter expert for Opentext Documentum product
  • Focus on performance, availability, reliability, and security.
  • Maintain and develop document management system with coopertaion of Tesco enginieers as well as with support from the vendor
  • Contribute to the definition of features for services in the documents area
  • Cooperate with business stakeholders to shape and drive the document management IT ecosystem

Technology stack which we are using:

  • Languages: Experience in delivering Java (or any other JVM language) based software solutions using modern frameworks like Spring Boot, Spring WebFlux, Kotlin etc.
  • Frameworks: Micronaut or Spring Boot
  • Cloud: Azure, Tesco Private Cloud
  • Architecture: Microservices
  • DB: SQL (PostgreSQL)
  • Workloads on Kubernetes, Jenkins phased out in favor of Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions
  • Monitoring & alerting: Splunk, AppDynamics, xMatters, Runscope etc.
  • Testing: Spock, Gatling
  • VCS: GitHub
  • Zendesk & JIRA

You will need:

  • Good English communication skills
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop expertise in a core system responsible for document management
  • Familiriaty of data protection (GDPR) frameworks
  • Expirence in system integrations work
  • Experience with Azure, AWS or other cloud solutions
  • Experience in system design
  • Experience in taking ownership of a project and leading a team from technical/ project perspective
  • Experience in setting up a direction for a project
  • Proactive attitude
  • Previous experience in document management systems will be an additional asset (preferably Opentext, M-Files)
  • 3+ years of commercial experience
