Job Description

The role of an Infrastructure Technology System Analyst within the High Frequency Trading environment is responsible for activities relating to the implementing maintenance and migration of platforms which are uniquely configured in support of the High Frequency Markets and Trading applications. You will have the opportunity to work with our global internal and external partners to drive future improvements in the performance of our technology infrastructure platforms, ensuring that we are increasing the reliability and optimizing its capacity. The overall objective is to assist with infrastructure migrations to build a secure, stable, and efficient operating environment for our business to function and grow.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide sound understanding of technology infrastructure concepts and principles to support platforms and sectors within the technical domain.
2. Apply basic understanding of how multiple areas collectively integrate within technology infrastructure to support the operations environment.
3. Build, configure, and tune servers as per the application requirement.
4. Review requirement documents, define hardware requirements, and update processes and procedures as necessary.
5. Coordinate with various teams to resolve issues and deliver projects on time.
6. Provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) post restoration of service.
7. Design testing approaches, complex processes, reporting streams, and assist with the automation of repetitive tasks.
8. Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements.
9. Willing to work after hours and weekends or be on call if needed.
10. Conduct project-related research.
11. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firms reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
12. Handle issues and escalations, as well as resolve production problems, reporting to management on status and technical matters.
13. Plan and implement improved processes, backup and recovery plans, and uniform methodologies and standards.

Technical Skills

1. RHEL 78, CoreOS, Windows Operating Systems, and OpenShift.
2. Active Directory, KDC and Domain Services, AD, DNS, FTP, Data Protection, Netbackup, Clustering, Veritas.
3. Virtualization environment based on VMware, OpenShift.
4. x86 server hardware: Dell, HP, Lenovo, Solarflare, SSD, and FPGA.
5. Ability to create simple automation scripts using PowerShell or other scripting languages like VBS, Python, Bash, etc.
6. Network protocols and tools used to troubleshoot issues.
7. Familiarity with Sysinternals and tools that allow deep system/process troubleshooting.
8. Good to have and a willingness to learn: Microsemi, Ansible, VMware, Windows RDS, Centrify, IBM BigFix, Ansible, PTP/NTP, Splunk, ePo, SCCM, Twistlock, Crowdstrike, SCOM, Dell ITC, Lenovo, HP, DELL, Lenovo servers, and EMC NetApp storage.
