About The Role



Person hired on that position will be responsible for tasks connected with maintenance and evolution of production, test and development infrastructure. This engineer will be responsible for work for all PayU platforms across EMEA region.

What You Will Do

1. Maintain operating systems of infrastructure and keep this same high SLA
2. Servers installation, configuration, software upgrades, etc.
3. Troubleshoot problems
4. On-call rotation
5. Develop automation to quickly and rapidly deploy instances or services from hardened images or pre-configured schemas
6. Build and use monitoring tools to find problems, resolve and/or escalate to development and ensure that we exceed our SLAs
7. Build and manage development and testing environments, assisting developers in debugging application issues using tools
8. Participate in the building of tools and processes to support the infrastructure
9. Contribute to the creation of system support documents such as run books used by our teams
10. Leverage scripting to build required automation and tools on an adhoc basis.

Qualifications And Experience

1. Minimum 2 years experience
2. Minimum 3 years experience with LINUX/UNIX platforms
3. Virtualisation platform
4. Kubernetes
5. Good English skills
6. Very good knowledge of Linux / Unix operating systems
7. Practical knowledge of Kubernetes
8. Experience in virtualization and containerization of environments
9. Good knowledge of at least one scripting language
10. Experience in working with version control systems (git)
11. Good knowledge of configuration management systems (puppet, ansible)
12. Good knowledge of load balancer solutions (haproxy)
13. Experience in managing physical servers
14. Good knowledge of servers and protocol HTTP
15. Good command of the English language
16. Additional advantages:
17. Practical knowledge of cloud solutions (AWS, Azure)
18. Practical knowledge of monitoring systems
19. Practical knowledge of SAN
