Overview

The Sustainability Manager/Specialist in the local Operations Department leads a local cross-functional sustainability working group focused on interpreting and implementing the Global Sustainability Roadmap. The role supports the implementation of the Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) and serves as an expert for ongoing compliance and potential modifications once the system is live. The position interacts with the global Sustainability, Compliance and Operations teams and other global and local business functions, and is responsible for monitoring ESG regulations, industry benchmarks, trends and impacts and for ensuring compliance with applicable laws, industry standards, and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Planning and implementing the local “Net Zero Roadmap”: create, update, and deliver mid- and long-term local sustainability plans and initiatives that support the global roadmap to achieve net zero in 2040.
• DRS management and ongoing optimization: oversee the management of the Deposit Return Scheme within Red Bull Poland, ensure full regulatory compliance; maintain ongoing collaboration with the DRS Operator; coordinate and facilitate the preparation and exchange of regular reports and data with the DRS Operator.
• Stakeholder engagement: collaborate with the global sustainability team and other internal teams to develop and implement a sustainability program for Red Bull Sp. z o. o.; lead a local cross-functional working group to implement sustainability programs, policies, and procedures; cooperate with Red Bull’s communications team to align internal and external communications; manage relationships with external partners (e.g., PFPZ; DRS Operator); work with Red Bull’s regulatory team to review current and future local legal requirements related to sustainability and inform stakeholders about key changes; respond to internal and external inquiries about Red Bull’s sustainability practices; act as an internal ambassador for Red Bull’s sustainability/ESG approach.
• Monitoring regulatory changes: monitor existing, upcoming and changing ESG regulations and ensure compliance; maintain regular communication with stakeholders to raise awareness of business impacts and minimize risks.
• Project management: implement sustainability projects in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners; proactively manage projects and engage internal and external stakeholders to achieve sustainability goals.
• Reporting: ensure timely and high-quality reporting of results; provide accurate reporting of environmental data in accordance with legal guidelines; collect sustainability indicators data and report to internal and external stakeholders, including global counterparts, senior management, clients, and regulatory authorities; serve as an expert in compliance with emerging reporting requirements; represent and communicate the sustainability strategy to senior management to increase integration and accountability; ensure carbon footprint reporting aligns with internal and external requirements; report on system data and government targets, collaborating with industry associations.
• Targets management: work on annual and long-term goals in collaboration with stakeholders; regularly report planned and executed sustainability initiatives and their results.

Your knowledge and expertise

• Experience in an Operations or Sustainability role, preferably in the Food/Beverage sector.
• Solid knowledge and passion for ESG/Sustainability.
• Proven track record in leading projects and managing/influencing cross-functional teams.
• Ability to use program management skills innovatively and remain flexible as the role evolves.
• Capacity to identify interdependencies across functions and facilitate collaboration.
• Experience in establishing partnerships with suppliers and industry organizations.
• Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to create internal and external networks.
• Experience in developing, recommending, and implementing improvements to address challenges.
• Experience working with facilities, events, and supply chain sustainability practices.
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks related to sustainability requirements.
