About the role

The Supply Chain Network Optimization Project Manager will lead strategic initiatives to enhance network design and logistics efficiency. You will drive the implementation of innovative optimization solutions, analyze data to inform decisions, and integrate supply chain functions. This role focuses on aligning logistics strategies with business objectives, significantly improving operational performance in a company that values innovation and excellence.

Your responsibilities

  • Project Management: Lead the design and implementation of strategic supply chain optimization projects on a temporary basis, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Network Assessment: Conduct analyses of supply chain networks to identify efficiency improvements and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Data Analysis: Leverage advanced data analytics techniques to evaluate project performance, synthesizing findings into actionable insights that drive optimization strategies and enhance decision-making processes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate the integration of optimization initiatives within the supply chain.
  • Budget Management: Assist in developing and managing budgets for optimization projects, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess risks related to optimization projects, proposing mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Vendor Engagement: Coordinate with logistics partners and suppliers to support project goals and optimize network performance.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Share insights and methodologies with team members to ensure continuity and knowledge retention after project completion.

The experience we are looking for

  • 6+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations, focusing on optimization projects.
  • Proven track record of leading complex end to end network redesign projects, preferably in a temporary capacity.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet project needs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma) is a plus.
  • Experience in utilizing data analytics tools to assess performance and drive decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including procurement, operations, and IT.
  • Familiarity with managing relationships with logistics partners and suppliers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, PMP).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting findings to stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with supply chain management software and data analytics tools (e.g., SAP, Tableau, Excel).
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and teamwork.
