As a Supply Chain Buyer, you will be part of the local Supply Chain and Procurement team, responsible for sourcing raw materials and packaging, as well as ensuring efficient and timely execution of purchasing activities. Your main objective is to secure continuity of supply in line with production and business needs, while supporting cost efficiency and operational performance.
In this role, you will closely cooperate with internal teams such as Supply Chain, Production, Quality, R&D, Sales and Finance to ensure smooth material flow and support business priorities. You will play a key role in managing supplier relationships on an operational level, monitoring market developments and supporting ongoing improvement initiatives.
The Supply Chain Buyer reports to the Supply Chain & Customer Service Manager and is based in our location in Bielsko-Biała in Poland. We are looking for a well-organized and proactive professional with potential to grow within our organization.
ZAKRES OBOWIĄZKÓW:
- Ensure availability of raw materials and packaging through effective planning and timely order placement
- Execute purchasing processes (RFQ, order placement, follow-up) in line with business requirements
- Monitor order execution and supplier performance to ensure on-time and in-full deliveries
- Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers on an operational level
- Support supplier selection, evaluation and qualification processes in cooperation with Quality
- Analyze offers and negotiate commercial conditions (prices, lead times, MOQs) within defined scope
- Monitor contract execution and ensure compliance with agreed terms
- Track market trends and support market intelligence activities
- Identify and support cost optimization initiatives (e.g. price renegotiations, process improvements)
- Collaborate closely with Supply Chain and S&OP to manage stock levels and mitigate supply risks
- Support new product development projects and introduction of new materials
- Provide timely and transparent information on supply risks, delays and market changes
- Participate in budgeting process and support cost control activities
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
WYMAGANIA:
You are a detail-oriented and proactive professional with a strong operational mindset and good understanding of purchasing and supply chain processes. You are comfortable working with data, managing multiple priorities and cooperating with different stakeholders.
Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following profile:
- Educational background in Business, Economics, Supply Chain or a related field
- Previous experience in purchasing, supply chain or logistics (preferably in FMCG or food industry)
- Good understanding of procurement and material planning processes
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a structured and organized way
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Professional working proficiency in English and Polish
