Supply Chain Analyst – Adient

The role of Supply Chain Analyst is to drive container centralisation and monitor inventory flows across Adient EMEA. Youll support packaging process standardisation, optimise transport networks between plants and suppliers, and contribute to cost and packaging efficiency. This role also supports programme launches aligned with PLUS methodology and SCM strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Identification, design and optimisation of new routes and existing routes in Adient transport network.
  • Packaging loop calculation for multiple customer/supplier relations under Adient rules and plant/supplier requirements.
  • Monitoring of available standard packaging within Adient EMEA (usage patterns, inventory levels).
  • Align optimal network proposals with supervisor, affected plants, execution lead and provide network rules for self‑management to plants.
  • Use Adient available tools for managing complicated packaging loops; permanently develop adjustment proposals for changed network environment.
  • Maintain contact with network contributors, service providers and Adient central departments.
  • Provide best‑practice solutions for recent supply‑chain challenges (network, packaging, logistic services).
  • Create, implement and maintain ideas for supply‑chain improvements.
  • Support and monitor packaging X‑change database on internet platform to reduce packaging investment.

Qualifications

  • Technical and/or commercial apprenticeship: transport engineering, traffic system engineering, logistics or industrial engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in supply chain, preferably in automotive industry at a company with more than 50,000 employees.
  • Basic understanding of Adient systems and processes – advantage.
  • Broad packaging and transport network knowledge, geographical knowledge.
  • Fundamental manufacturing/materials and logistics operations knowledge.
  • Good knowledge of supply‑chain solutions, market evolution and Adient plant processes.
  • Analytical and process‑thinking skills.
  • Understanding of global dependencies.
  • Assertive, convincing in arguments.
  • English – fluent, German – preferable.
