Job Description

At SOMFY, the supplier quality team is made up of SPQLs and SMPQLs. What is it? SPQLs are responsible for supplier quality monitoring for the Groups Projects part, while SMPQLs are focused on the Series Life part.

Today, we are recruiting for the Supplier Mass Production Quality Leaders team, Series Life side.

Your Mission

Apply the supplier quality assurance process, necessary for the continuous improvement of supplier performance, to guarantee the continuity of the sites.

1. Be responsible for a panel of suppliers located in your region and their performance and be the main interface.
2. Analyze and guarantee the processing of supplier complaints and manage the problem-solving methodology according to the groups standards for all problems related to your scope (regardless of the location of detection).
3. In the event of non-compliance, you will be responsible for the robustness of supplier containment.
4. Build and maintain an effective and lasting relationship with the supplier, encouraging collaboration and performance.
5. Collaborate with other regions to meet the groups objectives.
6. Be an expert in the supplier processes of your panel.
7. Contribute to the continuous improvement of supplier processes.
8. Initiate and manage the escalation of the supplier process with purchasing and the supplier base.

You work in a team and in networks (production plants, purchasing, etc.), internally and externally.

You will be located at the office in Niepołomice, Poland, at the Eastern Europe Production Plant and Distribution Center.

You will work for the Niepołomice production site and actively support Somfy Plants in France, Tunisia, and China, and soon also in Portugal. The position includes travel to our suppliers, approximately 3 times a month. Your scope will be Poland, Germany, Czechia, Hungary, and Romania.

Qualifications

1. Min. 3 years of experience in Supplier Quality Assurance.
2. High problem-solving skills and 8D methodology.
3. Knowledge of quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, 8D etc.).
4. Master’s degree in technical specialization.
5. Customer orientation, interpersonal skills, reactivity, rigorous, ability to convince, and precision is a must.
6. Readiness to travel about 25% of the time.
7. Fluent in English.
8. Driving license B.

Optional

Appreciated would be high experience in fields and processes: VDA 6.3, Lean manufacturing, Plastic injection manufacturing or EMS/ODM Process.
