Opis stanowiska pracy

For our client, an engineering company on the Krakow market, we are looking for a candidate for the position of supplier manufacturing engineer-metal stamping.

Responsibilities:

  • Support product engineers (e.g., Value Analysis/Value Engineering, Design for Assembly, and Design for Manufacturing principles) throughout the design phase of new goods and the redesign of current products to assure product manufacturability.
  • Collaborates with product engineering to guarantee the accuracy and integrity of engineering drawing specifications, as well as the successful communication of all expectations to suppliers.
  • Works closely with the tool designers of the supplier to create new, more effective dies to replace outdated tooling.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of new stamping suppliers to determine their manufacturing capacity, capabilities, process controls, adherence to relevant laws, rules, and standards, and related hazards.
  • Oversee the supplier development and qualification process for new goods, including the approval of supplier process papers, process capability studies, measurement, project schedule management, risk assessment, and mitigation.
  • Oversee supply base initiatives to reduce stamping costs. Being support for complicated stamping issue remediation.
  • Retain cutting-edge stamping expertise through conferences, research, process councils, and other means.
  • Provide mentorship and metal stamping training to the Supplier Performance Engineering teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree or higher in Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years Manufacturing Engineering experience in stamping processes (Transfer, Progressive, Deep Drawn, and Fine Blanking, etc.) including tool and die design, stamping industry design standards and stamping press operation.
  • Experience in the nuclear or allied energy sector is preferred.
  • Proficient communication across various fields and roles
  • Very good knowledge of English language
  • A proactive, self-driven approach to work and risk management; a respectful negotiation and conflict resolution style; an inquisitive mindset and a never-ending desire to learn and grow; an efficient decision-maker who makes decisions quickly and in a collaborative, team-oriented manner; and the capacity to effectively mentor and develop others
  • Availability to travel 25% of the work time
