Visit new resourced and “high impact” Suppliers to ensure APQP progress/process integrity;
Serve as a roadblock remover to ensure APQP target dates are successfully met;
Proactively work with Suppliers to minimize and eliminate Launch issues;
Report Supplier APQP progress/problems to Clients Launch Team;
Lead APQP Activities at Suppliers;
Work closely with Suppliers to improvement Suppliers processes with the focus of eliminating waste and driving non-value added cost out of the Suppliers system;
Responsible for ensuring all PPAP requirements are met and documentation is up to date and on file for components within assigned commodities;
Conduct Supplier Quality Training at Suppliers facilities to meet Client’s and Customer’s specific Quality expectations;
Strong cooperation with Direct Buyers to identify the savings idea.
Our requirements
Bachelors degree in Engineering;
Knowledge in manufacturing problem solving (8-D Methodology) and manufacturing processes;
Knowledge of TS 16949 requirements including APQP and PPAP;
Knowledge of SPC;
Strong training and or knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Kaizen, Six Sigma, Lean Deployment and Value Engineering/ValueAnaylsis;
Min 3 years experience in same or similar position in automotive company .

Job Purpose:
The primary objective of the Supplier Development Engineer is to ensure the highest quality of components delivered to the manufacturing site by developing and improving supplier processes. This role is responsible for evaluating, qualifying, and providing technical and quality support to suppliers, as well as implementing corrective and preventive actions. The Supplier Development Engineer collaborates closely with engineering, purchasing, and production teams to ensure supplier compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and industry requirements, thereby supporting continuous improvement and reliability across the supply chain.
