Responsibilities

As a part of the Structured Finance Back Office Servicing team, you will oversee a portfolio of Structured Finance deals and handle the Loan Servicing activities. Additionally, you will work closely with internal stakeholders (such as front office, risk, compliance, back-office, and finance) to ensure transactions are smooth during the lifecycle of the loan. The key responsibilities of the successful candidate are to:

  1. Processing and validating loan participations (new borrowings, increases, roll-overs, pay-downs, commitment reductions),
  2. Daily transferring of loan proceeds (receipt of funds and matching incoming cash),
  3. Processing and validating interest and fee billing for the direct and agented loans, billing the customers, and sending pro-rata shares,
  4. Reviewing the reconciliation of positions, discrepancies in interest, and fee payments,
  5. Managing cash breaks and internal funding reconciliation,
  6. Ensuring good data quality as well as compliance and regulatory adherence,
  7. Reviewing various system-generated reports to ensure proper monitoring of the facilities, investigating past due items, suspense, receivables, expiring SBLC, etc.,
  8. Ensuring all process requirements are fully documented and sign-off is obtained from all stakeholders periodically,
  9. Monitoring and escalating errors and incidents.

Profile required

We expect from the candidates:

  1. Master’s degree with a specialization in finance,
  2. At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role,
  3. Understanding of syndicated/bi-lateral financing and loan life cycle (including deal origination, transaction management, secondary trading, amendment, and restructures),
  4. Knowledge of Basel Norms and credit risk,
  5. Fluency in English, French proficiency is a high advantage,
  6. Ability to work well with others across departments and teams,
  7. Strong customer service ethos,
  8. Excellent analytical skills,
  9. Structured approach to planning, problem solving and decision-making,
  10. Ability to manage own workload and deliverables,
  11. Ability to work under pressure and to fixed deadlines.
