Strategy Consultant (GN) – Life Sciences (LS)
As a Strategy Consultant within our Life Sciences Practice, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of leading life science organizations. You will collaborate with global, cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑impact strategy solutions across R&D, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Operations and more.
Responsibilities
- Work side by side with global, cross‑functional teams to design and deliver strategies that transform businesses and drive real impact for clients in the Life Sciences industry.
- Advise clients on a highly diversified set of strategic topics, including R&D, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Operations, etc., working end‑to‑end from strategy development to implementation.
- Conduct primary and secondary research to discover key insights and findings relevant to client projects.
- Lead qualitative analysis such as KOL interviews and quantitative analysis such as claims and patient data, financial data, financial modeling, and sales projections.
- Synthesize insights, develop strategic recommendations, and create action plans to implement the recommendations.
- Develop and produce high‑quality client deliverables including presentations, reports, workshops and key findings summaries.
- Support senior team members with business development efforts, including writing proposals.
- Develop commercial capability assets, including white papers, industry reports, POVs, and thought‑leadership pieces for publication.
- Create high‑impact deliverables such as C‑suite presentations, strategic roadmaps, and action‑oriented playbooks.
Qualifications
- A strong academic background with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in life sciences, business, economics, engineering, or related fields; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- 4+ years of relevant professional experience in strategy consulting or related industry roles.
- Deep understanding of how Life Sciences/Healthcare clients operate, including strong knowledge of end‑to‑end product life cycle management.
- Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to turn complex data and insights into clear recommendations.
- Curiosity and drive to work across different strategy topics – growth, operating models, cost transformation, transactions, industry‑specific challenges, or sustainability.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with confidence in engaging senior stakeholders and diverse teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects or workstreams, delivering high‑quality outcomes under tight timelines.
- Familiarity with strategy frameworks, consulting methodologies, and digital/AI‑enabled approaches to solving business challenges.
- A collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills, able to thrive in multicultural and cross‑border teams.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required; German and other European languages are highly valued.
- Flexibility to travel and work on client sites when needed, embracing the variety and dynamism of strategy consulting.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with digital tools, AI/ML solutions, or advanced analytics applied in business strategy.
- International experience or exposure to global, cross‑border projects.
- Strong storytelling skills and the ability to turn data into compelling client narratives.
