The person hired for this position will be responsible for:
- You work as a purchaser in the Powertrain & Electrification area. This means you shape the future of key technologies like E-Mobility and next-generation diesel systems - cornerstones of our sustainable mobility strategy.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of components for both conventional and electric powertrains, with full responsibility from concept to End-of-Life.
- Partner with cross-functional teams from development, sales, finance, quality, logistics, and production to deliver excellence in Technology, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Sustainability.
- Conduct independent negotiations, prepare compelling presentations for sourcing decisions, and represent you work in high-level decision-making bodies within MAN Truck & Bus SE and the TRATON Group.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through smart collaboration and proactive thinking.
- Travel regularly to suppliers and partners across the VW Group to strengthen relationships and drive results.
From the candidates we expect:
- Completed a degree in business administration or engineering
- Highly motivated and enjoy helping to shape the future
- Practical experience in interdisciplinary teams
- Experience in project management/project work (preferably)
- Experience in a technical field (preferably)
- Business fluent English skills
- Understanding technical contexts, intensive cost orientation and adherence to deadlines
- Quick comprehension, assertiveness, a structured approach and an independent way of working with target orientation
