The company we currently work with is expanding its operations in Southern Poland with the development of a new, state-of-the-art production site outside Wroclaw/Katowice area. This marks a pivotal stage in which supplier networks, standards, contracts, and ways of working are being defined for the long term.
The business is seeking a Procurement Manager for Poland who is comfortable working both strategically and operationally. The role involves ensuring a reliable procurement setup for the Polish activities while also taking the lead in category sourcing across the wider organization, with a particular emphasis on Technical MRO.
The business prioritizes people, business continuity, and sustainability; the successful candidate will also contribute to the ESG and responsible sourcing roadmap—strengthening supply chain transparency, resilience, and future readiness.
Local Procurement Leadership
- Act as the primary procurement partner for the company’s site in Poland.
- Proactively identify supply risks and resolve operational challenges in a timely manner.
- Build strong working relationships with Production, Technical, Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance teams.
- Promote process discipline, transparency, and continuous improvement throughout the procurement workflow.
Group Category Responsibility – Technical MRO
- Take full ownership of the Technical MRO category across the company’s wider group.
- Develop and roll out group-level supplier strategies.
- Lead negotiations for framework contracts and service agreements.
- Harmonize specifications, pricing approaches, and supplier performance management across all sites.
Category Expansion (based on your profile and interests)
- Potential to lead an additional strategic spend category (e.g., packaging, ingredients, or proteins).
- Collaborate with other Group Category Managers to shape and refine the overall procurement strategy.
ESG & Responsible Sourcing
- Integrate ESG criteria into sourcing decisions, including safety, compliance, labor conditions, waste, and emissions.
- Support the translation of sustainability goals into tangible, measurable actions.
Your Profile
- Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience, ideally within industrial or FMCG environments.
- Strong negotiation capabilities and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Skilled in influencing and collaborating across teams and organizational levels.
- Organized, proactive, and solution-oriented.
- Fluent in Polish and English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to suppliers and other group sites.
