About Our Client
Our Client is a global Automotive company with over 500 people employed in its Polish manufacturing plant.
Job Description
- Ensuring the procurement and budget planning of direct materials in terms of best cost, quality and timing
- Leading the regional implementation of the commodity strategy including action plans
- Strategic and tactical steering of the purchasing volume and prices in the assigned commodity
- Representing the global and / or regional commodity towards suppliers in their responsibility
- Leading annual price negotiations with all relevant suppliers
- Ensuring implementation of global and regional purchasing initiatives
- Responsibility for supplier management (including: new supplier introduction, compiling supply market intelligence, identifying purchasing risks, opportunities)
- Responsibility for Change Management after SOP (technical, supplier, relocation), Escalation Management (capacity, shortage, supplier development, cost recovery)
The Successful Applicant
- Higher education in purchasing / business administration or related fields
- Several years of experience in purchasing (preferably with similar commodities)
- Fluency in English
- Experience gained in Automotive industry will be an additional asset
- Strong negotiation skills, being a collaborative team member, multi-cultural and/or global experience
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Outlook and PowerPoint as well as a Global Purchasing System
- Strong Business Excellence thinking (problem solving tools such as Lean: 6S, KAIZEN and or RedX)
