Responsibilities

• The main responsibility is to ensure procurement of the right cost, quality and capacity of parts in running production, by independently performing activities based on material group strategies and aligned with the business plan while always keeping sustainability in mind.
• Manage the supply base within your segments (maintain supplier relationships, supply chain risk evaluation, market benchmark, introduce and phase out suppliers, etc.).
• Secure capacity at suppliers.
• Create, develop and maintain material group strategies together with colleagues from project purchasing and supplier quality, as well as different regions and brands within the Traton group.
• Align strategies and activities globally, within the Traton group or other relevant strategic alliances.
• Create and execute business plan activities and ensure business plan results.
• Take an active role in ensuring the material group concept is carried out and aligned with other important cross‑functions.

Requirements

• Previous experience in procurement work is required; experience with metal parts is an advantage.
• Results‑oriented, analytical and able to run several assignments in parallel in a structured way.
• University degree desired (not a strict must); procurement experience is more important.
• Ability to work long‑term and proactively, to improve and streamline operations and support colleagues.
• Enjoy taking initiative, working independently and developing the role you are in.
• Willingness to go beyond your area of responsibility to achieve long‑term sustainable results for MAN and Traton Group.
• Positive, contributes to good team spirit even when the pace of work is high.
• Advanced level of English (written and verbal) is mandatory; good knowledge of Polish, German or Swedish is an advantage.
• Driver’s licence for a car.
