The Big Picture

We are looking for an ambitious Statutory Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will support the financial and tax departments across various European countries and participate in audit processes and year-end closings.

We are looking for an ambitious Statutory Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will support the financial and tax departments across various European countries and participate in audit processes and year-end closings.

Responsibilities

• Extract and analyze data from financial systems (SAP, NetSuite: OneSource).
• Month-end, Quarter and Year-End Close Activities.
• Indirect Tax Reporting (VAT Reconciliation, Preparation, EU Sales).
• Statistical Reporting (Intrastat etc).
• Support audits and client requests by preparing and providing required information.
• Contribute to the preparation of local statutory accounts and financial statements in accordance with local GAAP.
• Provide day-to-day support to the financial and tax teams in English.
• Monitor updates in tax legislation and proactively communicate new changes to client to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
• Perform other ad hoc tasks and projects as required by the business.
  
  

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• University or College Degree in Accounting / Finance / Economics / Business Administration.
• Accounting Certificates ( in early stage) will be considered a plus.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Fluency in English (both: spoken and written).
• German will be a plus.
• Customer service orientation and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Good in MS Office, with a strong focus on Excel (intermediate to advanced level).
