Position Overview
The Senior Accountant will oversee full bookkeeping, manage a small team, prepare tax and financial reports, and maintain strong client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain full bookkeeping.
- Organize work and verify tasks delegated to a small team (1–2 persons) that supports daily client service.
- Prepare VAT, CIT and JPK declarations.
- Input and post accounting documents.
- Perform month‑end closing activities (main ledger, fixed assets, inventory, cost accounting and interim settlements).
- Prepare periodic and annual financial statements independently.
- Report to external institutions in accordance with Polish legal deadlines (GUS, NBP, US).
- Maintain continuous client contact via e‑mail and phone, in Polish and English.
- Co‑operate with internal and external auditors.
Qualifications
- Proficient in English – conversational speaking and writing.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Strong time‑management skills.
- Ability to manage a small team (2–3 people).
- Skilled in MS Excel.
- Higher education in economics, finance or accounting.
- Excellent communication skills in both oral and written form.
- Open to working with various systems (e.g., Enova365, SAP).
- Positive attitude and willingness to share knowledge.
