Your new company
You will join a fast‑growing technology organization with over three decades of experience in building advanced smart‑security and smart‑home solutions. The company is expanding its engineering presence in Kraków and is creating a new mobile team that will play a key role in the development of enterprise‑grade applications used globally. Although based in Poland, you will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams located in the United States. The company values in‑person collaboration and operates primarily from the office, with the option to work remotely occasionally.
Your new role
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will serve as the technical anchor for the newly formed mobile team in Kraków. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will design and build robust React Native applications for Android, define architectural direction, and ensure seamless integration with backend micro‑services.
You will work closely with product teams on the East Coast (EST) and engineering teams on the Mountain Time Zone (MST), helping translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. You will also mentor engineers locally, drive best practices, and champion code quality, testing, and performance.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the design and development of React Native applications
Defining mobile architecture and long‑term technical strategy
Building and maintaining bridges between React Native and native Android (Java/Kotlin)
Mentoring engineers and conducting code reviews
Collaborating with US‑based product and backend teams
Ensuring high performance, stability, and strong CI/CD practices
What you'll need to succeed
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
8+ years of professional software development experience
4+ years of hands‑on React Native experience in production environments
Strong background in native Android development (Java/Kotlin)
Proven leadership experience: mentoring, leading teams, or acting as a Lead Engineer
Excellent communication skills in English (C1 preferred)
Ability to work flexible hours to collaborate with US‑based teams
Nice to have:
Experience or interest in IoT, hardware integrations, BLE, or socket communication
Willingness to work occasionally on backend components
Familiarity with micro‑services and RESTful APIs
Previous experience working with distributed teams across time zones
