The Sr. QA Engineer will be responsible for creating automated and manual tests of our applications. We are searching for someone eager to collaborate with our engineers to improve automated test infrastructure and enable rapid deployment of new features. The ideal candidate for the SQE engineering role will have a background in QA, in addition to having strong Windows skills. The primary focus will be testing our applications in a QA environment.

Responsibilities

1. Create test plans and test cases for existing and new features
2. Design, develop and integrate automated tests into existing automated testing infrastructure
3. Complete work on schedule in an agile/scrum work environment
4. Design, script and debug tests in various automation tooling
5. Ability to collaborate cross-team to recommend improvements to test systems
6. Promote the use of best practices within team and make suggestions as necessary to improve the efficiency and quality of the work produced by the team
7. Attend standups
8. Define testability for feature areas
9. Evaluate the coverage of existing automated tests and how to improve coverage
10. May execute tests to validate non-functional requirements, such as performance, scalability and reliability
11. Use UI test tools and frameworks to improve automated testing of web interfaces
12. Report on metrics that assess the quality of software products and software development process
13. Evaluate and analyze test results for trends or common issues
14. File and track bugs

Required Skills/Experience

1. BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field
2. Programming skills: C++, Java, C#, Python
3. Ability to solve problems quickly and completely
4. Highly effective communication skills

Desired Skills/Experience

1. Hands-on experience with Sahi, Selenium, jUnit or other Unit testing frameworks
2. Experience working in an agile/Scrum environment
