We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to lead the processing of German payrolls and spearhead the implementation of a new payroll platform. This role is pivotal to ensuring that payroll processes are accurate, compliant, and efficient. Must be based near Lodz Poland What youll do
  • Manage and process monthly payroll for employees in Germany, including salaries, bonuses, commissions, and other compensation
  • Ensure compliance with German labor laws, tax regulations, and social security requirements
  • Maintain accurate payroll data, updating employee records as necessary (new hires, terminations, adjustments)
  • Lead the implementation of a new payroll platform to optimize payroll processing
  • Collaborate with IT, HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure the platform meets business requirements
  • Oversee the migration of payroll data from the current system to the new platform
  • Test the new system for accuracy, compliance, and user experience.
  • Train team members and stakeholders on using the new payroll system effectively
  • Ensure all payroll activities comply with German statutory requirements
  • Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and insights
  • Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports for internal stakeholders and external authorities
  • Analyze payroll data and provide insights for process improvements
What youll need
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 of experience in payroll processing, with a focus on German payroll
  • Experience with payroll systems and HR software (e.g., SAP, ADP, Workday
  • Strong understanding of German payroll regulations, tax laws, and social security systems
  • Project management skills, especially related to system implementation and migration
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex payroll issues
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and payroll software
  • Fluency in English & German is required
