Senior Advanced Software Engineer (SQL)

We have an opportunity for a Senior Advanced Software Engineer (SQL) to join us at Honeywell in Gdansk, PL . This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.

You will drive the development of software that meets the needs of customers by refining/reviewing requirements, architecting and designing a software solution, planning and estimating development work, implementing the software solution, assisting with or writing test plans and documentation, and maintaining the solution.

The MASterMind suite is security automation software that provides a fully integrated, enterprise solution for monitored security service providers and proprietary central stations.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing and maintaining a complex software system
• Analyzing and troubleshooting software problems reported by internal QA team or external customers
• Providing feasibility studies and high level estimations of engineering effort required to complete a project
• Participating in the full life cycle of development from specification and design through implementation, testing and support
• Participating in weekly peer review calls
• Working in an international/multicultural environment

Key Skills and Qualifications

• At least Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in working with MS SQL Server databases
• Excellent knowledge of MS SQL Server database
• Ability to analyze and optimize database performance
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience in resolving database performance issues desired
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Team player, able to work across different cultures and time zones
