Supplier Quality Assurance Senior Auditor NSQ (f/m/x)

The SQA Senior Auditor New Supplier Qualification (NSQ) ensures the validation of new raw materials and suppliers of the assigned category according to Mars Quality Standards. This is done through building category and industry expertise, developing identified supplier and their capabilities towards meeting Mars required standards, as well as providing input on usage of new materials withing Mars factories. This is carried out in close collaboration with Sourcing and R&D function.


What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Build knowledge and expertise in the Animal Protein category as well as related industry
  • Provide input into the selection process for potential new suppliers for Mars Petcare and the verification of alternative materials and suppliers. 
  • Complete supplier risk assessments in the portfolio to ensure all food safety, quality and legal risks associated with materials, suppliers, their storage and transport are robustly managed and ensure all known supplier related risks are covered and up to date.
  • Build and develop the Supplier Relationship and enhance supplier performance, particularly in the areas of Foreign Object Management and Freshness
  • Responsibility to apply the defined Standards, processes and procedures and fulfilling relevant KPIs like conducting supplier audits, and identifying continuous improvement actions within supplier portfolio with an aim to move them out of “in development” status after 6 months
  • Drive Best Practice within the New Supplier Qualification Process thereby engaging all other relevant functions
  • Manage the knowledge and expertise within the SQA community and relevant stakeholders in his/her field of expertise, including trainings and being sought for advise by SQAs


What are we looking for?

  • 3 or more years of experience working manufacturing quality, with sound understanding of food safety and HAACP.
  • Advanced training in Lean principles and problem solving.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain with the physical capability of working in a manufacturing environment when necessary.
  • Minimum of a bachelors degree.
  • Good command of the English language.
