Senior Engagement Consultant at Brickendon Consulting

We are currently looking for a Splunk Subject Matter Expert for one of our banking clients.
Work location: Krakow/Warsaw
Work setting: hybrid (around 6 times per month from the office)
Contract: B2B
Key responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced, multi-layer Splunk dashboards tailored to specific business requirements.
- Create interactive visualizations that provide deep insights and enhance decision-making.
- Implement advanced Splunk knowledge objects (e.g., reports, searches, pivots, alerts) to support the dashboards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues with Splunk dashboards and underlying queries.
- Optimize complex SPL (Search Processing Language) queries for efficiency and scalability.
- Integrate multiple data sources, endpoints, and APIs into Splunk for seamless data aggregation and visualization.
- Ensure accurate data ingestion, parsing, and transformation to support dashboard requirements.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective dashboard solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering, IT, and operations teams to implement and support Splunk solutions.
- Conduct user training and provide documentation to ensure proper usage and maintenance of dashboards.
- Act as the go-to expert for all Splunk-related queries and challenges.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Splunk users and administrators.
- Stay updated on new Splunk features and technologies, recommending their adoption as needed.
Knowledge and experience:
- Extensive experience with Splunk (Enterprise and Cloud), including dashboard development and administration.
- Deep understanding of SPL (Search Processing Language) and advanced search techniques.
- Proven ability to design and implement multi-layered, interactive dashboards.
- Strong experience in troubleshooting and optimizing Splunk dashboards and queries.
- Expertise in integrating multiple data sources and endpoints into Splunk.
- Familiarity with data ingestion, parsing, and indexing processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with scripting (Python, Shell, or similar) and REST API integration is a MUST.
- Splunk certifications (e.g., Splunk Core Certified User, Splunk Certified Developer) are highly desirable.
