About the project

This role will join Cognitive & Robotics team which is responsible for managing the global Tools Splunk infrastructure. This is a strategic position and will be instrumental in the design, implementation, support, performance, and integrity of the Splunk ecosystem. You will work closely with multiple stakeholders and global partners. This is a multi-disciplinary role that will interact directly with developers and different functional IT, Security and Engineering teams to gather requirements, architect solutions and ensure the Splunk platform is leveraged as a key data collection.

Your responsibilities

  • You will join the Cognitive & Robotics team to support and develop the global Splunk infrastructure. In this strategic role, you will:
  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of Splunk environments, ensuring performance and scalability.
  • Mentor a team of engineers, coordinating efforts across deployments, app management, and platform optimization.
  • Collaborate with IT, Security, and Engineering teams to gather requirements and architect effective solutions.
  • Write and optimize SPL (Search Processing Language) queries, including correlation searches and Notable Event Aggregation Policies (NEAP) in Splunk ITSI.
  • Create dashboards and reports tailored to business requirements, supporting data analysis and visualization.
  • Integrate Splunk with external monitoring and ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow, BMC Remedy and Jira)
  • Introduce new functionality by proposing and deploying innovative solutions within the Splunk ecosystem.
  • Administer Linux systems and automate tasks using CLI (Command Line Interface), API or scripting.

Our requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Splunk administration and development.
  • Proven ability to lead technical solutions and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across IT, engineering, and business functions.
  • Familiarity with other monitoring tools (e.g. Zabbix, Centreon) and managing on-premises Splunk infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in SPL and Splunk ITSI, including correlation searches and NEAP configuration.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux system administration, scripting (e.g. Python, PowerShell and Bash), and automation via CLI or API.
  • Experience with system integration using REST and SOAP web services.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, IT security principles, and single sign-on technologies.
  • Experience in Splunk ITSI premium apps, especially in the context of AIOps (Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations), including adaptive thresholds, anomaly detection, predictive analytics, and event correlation.
