Job Responsibilities

• Develop high-resolution print-ready or pre-media output digital files for basic to intermediate production.
• Under the direction of the client project team assemble digital files incorporating the completed images from the Colour and Retouching Team and the packaging layouts from the Production Artists Team per client’s printer technical specifications.
• Ensures accurate, consistent, and timely completion of high quality basic to intermediate level artwork, effectively using industry standard software, tools, and print techniques.
• Performs assigned tasks within the overall production workflow and assigned budget, according to work order specifications, industry and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), company standards, and the client’s Brand guidelines and standards.
• Provides accurate, quality work consistent with standards and expectations.
• Always meets quality standards for all assigned deliverables and makes recommendations to Management for improvements in reports, tools, processes and assigned tasks.
• Maintain a continuous improvement mindset; regularly contributes ideas to optimize processes and streamline workflows.
• Takes initiative, seizes opportunity, and shows a sense of urgency about business priorities

Requirements

• Adept knowledge of best-in-class industry techniques & tools (i.e. Adobe Suite & Microsoft Office) and willingness to adopt new innovations as they are released.
• Expert in Pre-press and Print production techniques and processes such as: Colour separation pertaining to specific printers, Trapping, Bleeding, Stepping, Colour rotation, line screen o File resolution o Raster Image Processing (RIP) Printer marks (i.e. Mandatories etc
• Ability to work in all standard print production formats (offset, flexo, gravure).
• Fully Understand all print specifications and technical requirements.
• Thorough account and brand knowledge with the ability to comprehend new instructions
