Job Description
As a Payroll Specialist you will handle all HR tasks, including ongoing payroll preparation for a defined group of employees. You will execute necessary entries in SAP via manual input, batch, or interface procedures, review payroll results, control compliance with legal and company regulations, respond to inquiries, and advise employees on HR matters. You will ensure traceability and proper archiving of documents, work in archive systems, manage certification processes and travel expenses, create statistics, evaluations, and reporting tasks, participate in projects, and train decentralized time data managers and travel data recorders.
Responsibilities
- Handling all HR tasks, including ongoing payroll preparation for a defined group of employees
- Execution of necessary entries in SAP via manual input, batch, or interface procedures
- Review of payroll results based on logs and outcomes of payroll runs and booking results
- Payroll control and ensuring compliance with legal and company regulations
- Responding to inquiries and advising employees on HR matters (payroll, social security, taxes, labor law)
- Ensuring traceability and proper archiving of documents/data according to company regulations
- Ensuring audit-proof documentation and correct use of organizational management
- Work in archive systems, management of required documentation
- Handling certification processes, computer-aided certification workflows, and travel expenses
- Creation of statistics, evaluations, and reporting tasks
- Participation in projects and temporary project teams
- Operational handling of special tasks and execution of operational tasks
- Training of decentralized time data managers and travel data recorders based on company regulations and time management documentation
- Ongoing time data entry and support with special tasks
Requirements
- University or technical college degree or completed commercial training
- Professional experience in payroll, personnel services, or as an alga-certified payroll accountant
- Expertise in payroll control and HR processes
- Strong SAP skills and confident PC user skills
- Fluency in German (spoken and written required B2/C1)
- Very good English skills (at least B2/C1)
- Knowledge of modern office communication technology
- Proficiency in SAP, archiving rules, collective agreement regulations, general terms and conditions (MTV), application guidelines, forms, SAP manual, documentation, and statistics
