SPECIALIST – RESEARCH TECHNICIAN POSITION (f/m) (0.25 FTE) in the Department of Natural Environment Biogeochemistry on research project

“Development of advanced multilevel inventory method for GHG fluxes from agricultural organic soils using spatially-explicit data”

(Acronym: LIFE OrgFluX-PL) funded by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA), representing the European Commission, under Grant Agreement No. 101212871 within the LIFE-2024-SAP-CLIMA-GOV call

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in natural sciences, biology, agriculture or related fields,
• proficiency in MS Office and Statistica software,
• experience in applying standard soil measurement methods (e.g. physical, chemical and/or biological soil properties),
• very good knowledge of English enabling the use of specialist literature and active participation in the preparation of scientific publications (minimum level B2),
• very good analytical and communication skills, and ability to work in a team,
• Category B driving licence,
• readiness for often domestic field trips for measurements and for international travel (active participation in international conferences),
• diligence, accuracy and punctuality in performing assigned tasks.

It would be nice if YOU additionally have:

• experience in field soil research, including measurements of greenhouse gas emissions using the chamber method, according to work range planned in the Project,
• experience in laboratory work with soil samples and knowledge of research methods of soils,
• knowledge of biological processes in the soil environment and factors regulating gas exchange in the soil-atmosphere system.
