Lead the development, implementation, and oversight of the SOX compliance program, including risk assessments and control evaluations.
Assess the design and operational effectiveness of SOX controls, identifying key risks, recommending improvements, and ensuring financial reporting accuracy.
Conduct annual and periodic reviews of ICFR and ITGC, addressing control gaps through actionable remediation plans.
Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to enhance control frameworks, ensuring compliance with evolving regulations.
Maintain and update SOX documentation, including control matrices, process narratives, and key control testing procedures.
Provide guidance on risk and controls for new systems and processes with significant financial or operational impact.
Stay informed on regulatory updates and industry best practices, ensuring continuous improvement in compliance and risk management.
Manage internal and external audit coordination, overseeing responses to audit requests and ensuring alignment with SOX requirements.
Prepare and present compliance reports and findings to senior leadership, including the Board of Directors and Audit Committee.
Minimum Requirements:
A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
At least 8 years of experience in leading and implementing SOX compliance programs in large, complex organizations.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and SOX compliance requirements, including the latest PCAOB standards.
Understanding of key business processes such as Order to Cash and Financial Reporting, with expertise in audit techniques and internal control testing.
Familiarity with IT controls, system interfaces, and SOX implementation in IT environments; experience with SAP is a plus.
Strong project management, leadership, and communication skills.
Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, CA, or CFA are an advantage.
Proficiency in written and spoken English.
