Sourcing Specialist – Sherwin‑Williams

Reporting to the Sourcing Manager Containers, you will support the regional Direct organization through the following primary objectives:

Responsibilities

• Building reliable and stable relationships with suppliers as a preferred and trusted business partner and ensuring an uninterrupted supply of quality goods at optimum cost
• Analyzing and comparing potential and current suppliers and performance; evaluating and recommending new or ongoing relationships
• Negotiating with suppliers
• Assisting in identifying and accurately interpreting business needs and drafting RFx documentation
• Performing a variety of complex special projects, which may include switching materials, new formula introductions, new material introductions, REACH, PPT, PEPR, PPWR
• Tracking sustainable business results, including supply assurance, cost, quality, service and innovation, which are required to meet Sherwin‑Williams needs
• Analyzing and monitoring regional Business Unit and Group aligned category strategies throughout the EMEAI organization, tracking savings achievement and business acceptance

Qualifications

• At least two years of professional direct or indirect sourcing/purchasing experience
• Aware of large‑scale and complex Direct sourcing programs, with a solid understanding of procurement best practices and a track record of success with direct materials
• Demonstrated strong self‑initiative, sense of urgency, and customer relationship building skills
• Prior success working with cross‑functional/cross‑cultural teams, managing international relationships based on common objectives across a wide variety of geographies, leading projects and complex change initiatives across multiple sites and countries
• A collaborative work style, with a strong ability to build relationships, gain credibility, and partner with internal customers and co‑workers
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of Coupa, Oracle, AI will be considered as an asset
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
